Nicole Haynes Bio

Hi! I'm Nicole and welcome to my website! I am a journalist, copywriter and final year uni student who has created this site to share my work and track my progress. 

I'm originally from Hampshire but I study and live in Birmingham.

 

I love to write about literature, culture and music, but have more recently have gotten into news journalism and reporting. As an English and Drama Undergraduate I am passionate about the arts and the power of language. My favourite genre of literature is gothic-horror and I love Ancient Greek theatre.

I currently write for Redbrick Paper, The Publishing Post and Global Citizen Media. My work varies from children's publishing updates to regional news and theatre reviews- be sure to check out my publications to see what I've been working on recently. As a Literacy Champion for Birmingham Stories, I also assist with projects that help to improve literacy levels across the West Midlands. A recent project enabled me to write an article about environmental issues and mental health.

I balance my studies with an array of extra-curricular activities. My passion for the arts is incredibly important to me- I have studied classical ballet and continue to dance for my own enjoyment, as well as teaching my own class on a weekly basis.
